High-efficient Clean Processesfor Mineral Resource
September 16 (SeeNews) - Swedish firm EcoEnergy Scandinavia Holding AB has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to build a 100-MW biofuels plant in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, news agency UNIAN said Wednesday.
The project’s development and the initial phase of construction will require an investment of about USD 120 million (EUR 106.4m), according to the report, which quotes the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration.
As part of the plan, the company will eliminate all landfills in Dnipropetrovsk. The Investment Centre at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration has proposed three sites for the project.
EcoEnergy is a renewables developer that is active in Eastern Europe and Russia. It has an 8-MW biomass heat plant in operation in Kaliningrad and several other projects in different stages of development, according to its website.
